Joint
Strike Fighter
The
U.S. Air Force needs a low-cost, conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL)
airplane to replace the F-16 and A-10, and to complement the F-22A Raptor.
The U.S. Navy wants a carrier-based strike fighter to complement the
F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and to replace the A-6, which already has left
the inventory.

V-22 Osprey
The
V-22 Osprey is a tilt-rotor hybrid rotory/fixed-wing aircraft offering
an excellent combination of payload and range. It can take-off and land
like a helicopter, but, once airborne, its blades can be rotated to convert
the aircraft to a turboprop airplane capable of high-speed, high-altitude
flight.

sophisticated flight deck and advanced automatic system controls that
substantially reduces pilot workload.
