McDonnell Douglas
KC-10 Tanker
The KC-10's primary mission is aerial refueling, it can combine the tasks of tanker and cargo aircraft by refueling fighters while carrying the fighters' support people and equipment during overseas deployments. The KC-10 can transport up to 75 people and 170,000 pounds of cargo a distance of about 4,400 miles.

Joint Strike Fighter
The U.S. Air Force needs a low-cost, conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) airplane to replace the F-16 and A-10, and to complement the F-22A Raptor. The U.S. Navy wants a carrier-based strike fighter to complement the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and to replace the A-6, which already has left the inventory.

V-22 Osprey

The V-22 Osprey is a tilt-rotor hybrid rotory/fixed-wing aircraft offering an excellent combination of payload and range. It can take-off and land like a helicopter, but, once airborne, its blades can be rotated to convert the aircraft to a turboprop airplane capable of high-speed, high-altitude flight.
